IATSE Local 33 stagehands history and pictures
Local 33 was chartered in 1896. That's a lot of history. These pages
are dedicated to the many men and women who have contributed to the rich and
diverse history that has made us what we are today. The following pictures,
articles,
and stories from our past are brought to you by members who are lucky
enough to have not only lived through, but contributed to, the history of
the stagecraft industry.
If you're not exactly sure what a stagehand is, please read
this stagehand page for an in-depth (and very funny) definition.
The Pinrail is our Local's magazine, with
news and pictures.
Local 33 sincerely thanks all the people who have contributed to these
articles and pictures. If you have a story or historical account you would like to
have appear here, please e-mail it to: webmaster@ia33.org
Search for all kinds of great pictures - especially historic pictures of
theaters, at the LA
Public Library photo database.
