IA33 On Strike at the LA Forum
After more than two years of negotiations, Faithful Central Bible Church’s bargaining agent forced steep cuts on Forum workers. Wages were cut more than 30 percent. Workable hours were also slashed.

The Kentucky River Cases
At a time when working people are squeezed as never before, and Washington isn’t listening to America’s workers, the Bush administration is making things even worse by slashing workers’ rights at every turn.  The National Labor Relations Board appointed by President Bush has refused to hear oral arguments as it considers three cases that could reshape basic workplace rights and further erode our freedom to form unions. This is an outrage that must be reversed! Visit the union voice web site to send a letter to your members of congress expressing your outrage.

Wilshire Theatre contract with Temple Shalom
Veteran stagehands who have provided quality workmanship at the Wilshire Theater for the last 30 years have suddenly been shut out by the new owners, Temple Shalom for the Arts. Although the Temple boasts many members of the entertainment community – including members of SAG, DGA, IATSE and WGA – among its congregation, it has refused to renegotiate IATSE Local 33’s contract – without explanation.

The Desi Geestman Foundation
The Desi Geestman Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization that provides financial and emotional support to families with a child (or children) suffering from cancer. The foundation is now 7 years old and has been helping hundreds of families.

Hurricane Katrina Memo from President Short
Help IA families who suffered from Hurricane Katrina and need the help of their union brothers and sisters.
